Version 25.03 Release Notes

  1. New Installation Process - A newer, much easier and cloud friendly installation process has been implemented which eliminates the need to download metadata structures and create blob storage areas. The new process provides a single click installation for the vault structure and bundles metadata and the application together to eliminate possible disconnects between application version and metadata version.
  2. Version Numbers - Version numbers have been changed to align with the Year/Month style release numbers that M-Files uses.
  3. Metadata Card Enhancements - Significant amount of help text has been added to the metadata cards and properties for all AutoRecods objects to help make the configuration of AutoRecords a more guided experience.
  4. Multi-Server Mode Enhancements - M-Files has implemented a feature called Transaction Runners and as a best practice Transaction Runners are now used throughout AutoRecords for thread safety in multi-server mode.
  5. Configuration Default Changes
  • Audit and Disposition Logs are automatically enabled with default document classes preset.
  • Clean Up Automatically Destroys Objects has been changed to Yes by default.
  1. Conflict For Required Metadata - A new type of Conflict has been created to better address situations where AutoRecords must update an object but that object is missing some other piece of required data.
  2. Bug Fixes
  • Orphaned Events aren't being cleaned up - There were some situations which resulted in Events or Event Groups on the system which no longer pointed to any files or objects. These Orphaned Events are now cleaned up in a new processing step.
  • Policy Changes In Multi-Server Mode - In some cases making policy changes in Multi-Server Mode resulted in an error.
