Welcome to the M-Connect: File Shares Manager Guide. This guide is intended to help Share Managers create, delete, and generally manage file shares. This guide will cover:

  • Creating File Shares
  • Adding Documents to File Shares
  • Adding Links to File Share

Concepts​

M-Connect: File Shares consist of File Shares, File Share Links, and Files.

  • File Shares are respresented as M-Files objects and contain information such as Expiration Date, Organization, and Group.
  • File Share Links are respresented as M-Files objects and contain the permissions for the link, such as View, Download, and Upload.
  • Files are any objects within M-Files, including document collections and multi-file documents.
