General

The M-Connect Global Settings → General section is used to control the look-and-feel of the portal. The following settings are available:

  • Site Name - The name of the portal, which will be used throughout the site.

  • Display in Header - When enabled, the site name is displayed within the site header.

  • Site Name Color - Chooses which color is used for the Site Name in the Header

  • Default Home Page - The page the users will be taken to when they login to the portal or click on the title or logo in the header.

  • Display Welcome Page - Allows for users to be directed to a Welcome page, or directly to the Shares page.

  • Site Logo - Displayed within the site header and used when communicating with users via email. The logo is optional and can be used in combination with or instead of the site name.

    • Recommended logo specs: transparent .png @ 750px width x 250px height
  • Site Favicon - Displayed within the browser tab and used when users bookmark the site.

    • Recommended favicon specs: transparent .png @ 125px width x 125px height
  • Primary Color - The most prominent color used throughout the site, including within the header and for page links. It is recommended that a fairly dark color be used as the primary color.

  • Secondary Color - Used as an accent color throughout the site. This can be a lighter or darker than the primary color.

  • Links Color - Used to color the links in the page header

  • Navigation Location - Controls where the navigation is located on the page

  • Display M-Files Object Icons - If enabled, displays object icons set within M-Files instead of the default M-Connect icons

  • Upload Delay - Delay between service calls when performing uploads with the M-Connect Upload Microservice to prevent rate-limiting. It is recommended to be set to 0 for on-premise vaults and 200 for cloud vaults.

Note

Changing global settings will instantly change the site for all users. It is ideal to configure these settings prior to allowing external user access.
