Document Viewer

The Global Settings → Document Viewer section is used to configure the optional document viewer, which gives users HTML5 previews of over 500 files types, including PDFs, Microsoft Word documents, and images. When the document viewer is disabled, the HTML5 preview is replaced with a file type icon. The following settings are available:

  • Viewer Services - The URL to the viewer service, used within the service layer for converting documents.
  • Viewer Proxy - The URL to the viewer proxy, used within the front end to call the viewer server.
  • Enable Document Viewer - When the Viewer Service and Proxy are both set up, document viewing can be enabled to display the contents of the files rather than only the file type icon.
Note

There are multiple options for hosting the Document Viewer service if this is required to meet your use case:

  • TEAM's viewer cloud service - multi-tenant or dedicated
  • Self-hosted viewer - cloud or on-prem
